Marathon Upper Animas Rafting and Train (High Adventure)
For crazies only. Run over 25 miles of class III, IV and V whitewater all in one day. You will journey into a completely roadless portion of the San Juan National Forest, with stunning scenery and 14,000 foot peaks nearby. You will hit class V Tenmile rapid, No Name rapid and Broken Bridge rapid in one exhausting day! Are you really crazy? Add on the Rockwood Box for an Ultra-Marathon (flow dependent)!

Three day 1 of 1 - Raft, Hike, Train Trip
This is one of the most sought after trips in the United States due to the remoteness, stunning scenery and fantastic whitewater. You will be immersed in over 25 miles of class III, IV and V whitewater with some rapids that last for miles. Not only that you get to spend two nights in this amazing canyon where we will cook and clean for you (you will have earned it).
On day two you will have the chance to hike into Chicago Basin from our camp near Needle Creek. An ambitious hiker could certainly summit one or more peaks. Possibilities include Pigeon Peak, Eolas Peak, Windom Peak and Sunlight Peak. Of course you could easily spend the day exploring the river corridor and historic Needleton. Some people choose to rest up or spend the day fishing. Its up to you!Previous whitewater experience and above average fitness / stamina level required. Upper Animas Marathon 1 of 1 - Overnight Trip
This is one of the most sought after trips in the United States due to the remoteness, stunning scenery and fantastic whitewater. You will be immersed in over 25 miles of class III, IV and V whitewater with some rapids that last for miles. Upper Animas Trip 1 of 1 - Middle Section
This section of the Upper Animas is suitable for those with at least a moderate fitness level. Some experience is recommended. During high water season in May and early June you should expect some big wild rapids and colder temperatures. In late June and July/Aug the rapids are easier and temperatures are generally warmer.

Upper Animas trip 1 of 1 - Top Section
This is it! This section of the Upper Animas has some of the most continuous and difficult whitewater in the United States. You will journey into a completely roadless portion of the San Juan National Forest, with stunning scenery and 14,000 foot peaks nearby. Save some energy for story telling on the train ride at the end of the afternoon. Includes lunch.

- Cancellation
- If we cancel a trip or deny you passage for any reason, you will receive a full refund, deposit included. We will also refund your deposit in full if you need to cancel at least 21 days prior to a scheduled trip in Colorado and 90 days prior to a scheduled International trip. No deposit refund can be given if you cancel within 21 days of the Colorado trip or 90 days of the International trip.
- Deposit
- A 25% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The balance is due immediately before the trip for the Lower Animas. For the Upper Animas it is due one day before departure. For International trips it is due 30 days prior to departure.
