Enjoy the Second Annual Durango Wine Experience. Events, activities and lots of delicious wine tasting make this a great chance to get away and enjoy Durango. With more population than Telluride, Aspen & Vail combined, Durango is the perfect place for a wine experience. We have multiple Wine Spectator acclaimed restaurants, over 50 licensed establishments, 600+ hotel rooms, almost a 100 boutique galleries and shops, all right downtown. We truly have the perfect environment for a wine event. There is more to do in this county than any other county in Colorado. (Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge train, Mesa Verde, multiple gold medal rivers & streams, world-class kayaking & rafting, just to name a few).
Scheduled events include:
- Thursday: Welcome reception for our trade partners, Platinum Package holders and sponsors. Hosted by your Durango Wine Experience committee!
- Friday: The “Walk- About Durango”. A moving tasting at art galleries and fine downtown merchants with light appetizers served at all locations. Winemaker’s dinners or luncheons at downtown restaurants.
- Saturday: Four seminars, two morning and two afternoon. The Grand Tasting tented, with 50 tables and catered wine friendly food. Winemaker’s dinners or luncheons at downtown restaurants.
- Sunday: Sleep in, then enjoy Durango with the Train, Mesa Verde and more.
