We take pride in giving Beginner and Intermediate horseback riders the chance to enjoy the same spectacular experience as those more advanced horseback riders. With a brief orientation to the horses and riding, and with our trained tour guides, this experience is sure to give even the most timid rider a new found confidence! Our scenic, family-friendly guided trail ride starts at the Sunlight Stables, adjacent to Sunlight Mountain Resort, high in the beautiful White River National Forest. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Please bring water, snacks and sunscreen. Water is also available at the Sunlight Stables. Must be 7 years of age or older. No double riders allowed.

159 miles, approx. 2 ½ to 3 hour drive depending on road conditions.
Take I-70 West to Exit 116 (Glenwood Springs/Aspen exit).
Take a right at the first light.
Take a right at the second light and cross over the bridge. You are now on Grand Ave.
Stay on Grand Ave. for about two miles. Turn right at the light at 27th Street.
The road veers to the left, continue to the next Stop sign and turn right.
Stay on the road for 10 miles and you will be at Sunlight Mtn. Resort.
Grand Junction to Sunlight
89 Miles, approx. 1 hr. 15 min.
Take I-70 East to Exit 116, follow directions in bold above.
Aspen/Basalt/Carbondale to Sunlight
51 miles, approx. 45 min. to 1 hour.
Basalt to Sunlight, 36 Miles
Carbondale to Sunlight, 23 Miles
Take Hwy. 82 North. As you enter Glenwood, watch for McDonald's and Wal-Mart on right and turn Left at next light (27th St.). The road veers to the left after you cross bridge, continue to next Stop sign and turn right. Stay on road for 10 miles and you will be at Sunlight Mtn. Resort.
