Private Packages

What is a private package?

Gateway Reservations has pioneered a new and unique way for you to create and promote your own exclusive packages by partnering with other complementary options such as the Durango and Silverton Railroad, DMR lift tickets and anyone else in the Central Reservations system. A package is any combination of lodging and activities or multiple activities bundled together.

What does a private package do for you?

This package can be used to add to your product offerings and expand your reach to people who are looking for an all-in-one vacation experience, while still committing them to your product or service. This is also a great way for your business to make additional revenue by simply providing value and convenience to your customers. You will utilize our 22 years worth of relationships in the community and can partner with any business that participates in CenRes. And best of all, with a private package, you don’t have to worry about the fulfillment of the other components of the package. That means no picking up train tickets, lift tickets, etc. - we'll take care of everything!

How does it work?

We will provide you a simple URL link to your private package that you can offer off of your website or through our call center that allows customers to purchase your product and package it with other partner products like the train tickets, lift tickets and much more. You tell us who you want to partner with and what packages you think would be the most compelling to your customer and we will build it. We also take care of the fulfillment so all you have to do is take care of your product/service as you normally do and we will take care of all the other arrangements – making it easy on you and your customer.

These private packages will only offer your product/service and, because you are marketing and promoting the package, any of your product sold is booked at a discounted 7% commission. That 7% includes all pre-collection costs so we take on all credit card fees and costs and send you a check 14 days prior to the guest’s arrival.

Many packages are also eligible for a referral commission on anything that is booked from your package (excluding your product) at 1.5%. This means that if they book flights, car rentals, lift tickets, train rides, Mesa Verde tours or anything else, we will pay you 1.5% of that total.
