Rex2 New Tours Available Southern Ute Cultural Museum

Durango is well known for its scenic and cultural tours; visitors can tour Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep and many more historical places.  The Southern Ute Cultural Museum tells the story of the Ute Tribe with an open interactive space.  The permanent exhibit starts at the circle of life theatre which shows a short film featuring music, photography, and spoken remembrances.  The self-guided tour moves on to show important aspects of the tribe throughout the ages including horses, storytelling and petroglyphs.  The outside of the museum is home to native gardens which are full of plants used for food, medicine, and ceremonial purposes.  If you want to…
