The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, a national historic landmark, begins its 49th season today!
The authentic, coal-fired steam locomotives depart daily from both the Chama, New Mexico and Antonito, Colorado stations, offering a variety of trips to choose from. The 64-miles of track cross the Colorado and New Mexico state border 11 times. You’ll climb up and over Cumbres Pass at 10,015 feet, which is the highest point reached by any steam railroad north America.
Choose from Coach, Tourist, or Parlor class of service, and enjoy a hearty hot lunch, including desserts, at the Osier stop, which is included in your ticket price. Prices start at $99.75 per adult and $49.75 per child.
If you haven’t yet done so, make plans to climb aboard the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad before the season ends on October 20, 2019. We absolutely love this train ride and feel pretty darn sure you will too! So, pony up and get your tickets to ride soon! If you are looking for the whole kit and caboodle, give us a holler, so we can combine your train tickets and lodging for a discounted package.
