Durango Silverton Railroad Train

This historic train has been carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives through Colorado’s most beautiful high-country since 1882 – over 135 years! Relive the sights and sounds of yesteryear for a spectacular journey on board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Visitors from around the world come to ride this historic Train, which is one of the last surviving narrow gauge railroads and one of the Southwest’s most sought-after attractions. Witness the unspoiled wilderness of the San Juan Mountains. The duration of the ride varies depending on the time of year. The summer train travels roundtrip from Durango, Colorado to the historic town of Silverton, Colorado. In winter you can ride a shorter, roundtrip journey as the train departs Durango, heads into the pristine San Juan National Forest, stops at the Cascade Canyon Wye for about one hour, then returns to Durango. This is the most current information regarding schedules and fares. Some upcoming schedules and special events may not be published yet. For the most updated information, please call us at 800.828.4228. We will gladly add you to our “call-list,” so we can update you as soon as dates and fares have been published.
