Gateway Reservations is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year (wahoo!), so we thought we’d share a little about the dynamic duo behind the scenes.
THE TEAM:
When Bruce and Lori Moss moved to Durango more than 26 years ago, they were immediately taken with this small, Southwestern town and worked hard to plant seeds here. In 2000 they bought Gateway Reservations—a dream business in an industry and a town they loved—so they could continue to raise their two children in Durango. They couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
And, they were more than qualified: Bruce had an extensive background and degree in Tourism Resort Management and Lori
provided the background and expertise in business administration and sales. Oh, and Chloe, the darling golden retriever in charge of “Accounts Retrievable,” has been on the job with them for the last 13.5 years.
The Mosses are true locals; their recommendations and familiarity with the community come from nearly three decades of playing, working and living in the region. They ski (well, Bruce snowboards) and hike, camp, float the river and partake in community cultural events. They both relish the Colorado lifestyle, have amazing senses of humor, and care deeply about their community. And, they make an awesome team!
THE CRAFT:
For Lori and Bruce, helping plan the perfect vacation for visitors, groups, and reunions is incredibly satisfying. They welcome the fact that every new customer has a unique set of needs and interests, and they set their sights early on creating a package that will go above client expectations, for discounted rates.
They also take great care with who they hire, so their local travel consultants are patient, knowledgeable and eager to help you plan a vacation around your interests and budget with real-time comparisons of rates, amenities, and availability.
Gateway’s specialty: discounted Colorado vacation packages that include the Durango & Silverton Historic Train, Glenwood Springs Amtrak Package, Colorado ski packages, adventure packages, family-friendly packages, and much more. Whether your interests include historical and cultural attractions like Mesa Verde National Park, or you are more inclined to take on adventures like rafting, zip lines, high country 4×4 tours and more, Bruce and Lori (and their awesome team) will help you create memories to last a lifetime.
“Life in Durango has been good to us, and we feel privileged to call Durango home. The people, the weather, the outdoor pursuits, and the spectacular San Juan Mountains make this a great place to live and visit. Come see us.” Bruce and Lori Moss
