    Durango, Colorado is proud to host the 35th annual Ride the Rockies cyclist event from June 14th - 19th, 2020. Riders come from all 50 states and 18 foreign countries to ride in this non-competitive event, which is open to cyclists of all ages. The tour route changes each year, and this year it will start and end right here in beautiful Durango, Colorado, one of the state’s most popular outdoor recreation and tourism destinations. Back in 1979, the people here in Durango were covered in winter’s darkness, so we longed to do something to keep our spirits up during the colder, winter months. So we created a week-long festival, and we named it Snowdown! This year, Durango’s annual Snowdown Festival marks its 42nd straight year!
